Auditions for SOMETHING ROTTEN! will be held at Clarkston Village Players, 4861 White Lake Rd., Clarkston

You only need to attend one (1) audition date, not both.

Students ages 10 to 18 years old (2026 graduating senior) are eligible to audition. er descriptions contained in the script. 

​

To streamline auditions, fill out and bring the Audition Form with you. We will also have copies available at the theatre. Registration fee of $100.00 will be required if you are cast in the show and is due by Friday, May 22, 2026. Download our Audition Packet below for more information.

Preparation:

Vocal Evaluation: Please prepare a musical theatre song of your choice around 1 min. long that showcases your vocal range and ability. You may sing a selection from Something Rotten! or any other musical. You can sing your selection a capella or with a recorded karaoke accompaniment on your phone or other device. We will have a bluetooth speaker available.

Acting Evaluation: At the audition, you will be asked to go on stage with other students and read selections from the script to demonstrate your ability to project your voice and to portray a character.

​

Dance Evaluation: At the beginning of the audition, our Choreographer will teach Students a short dance routine which will be performed in groups so we can evaluate your dance experience.

Rehearsals will be scheduled as follows, starting Mon. May 18:  6:30 pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

(Some Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings as needed)

 

Performance Dates: July 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, August 1
